ja minustahan ei ikinä tule naista joka ei läikytä vaatteilleen.

huomasin sen juuri, verenvärisen teen, ja vaaleanharmaan paidan kanssa, että ei, ei tule. eikä minun kotini ole ikinä täydellinen. siellä on aina pölyä nurkissa, tarkista vaikka.

yritetään väsymykseen asti selittää jonkun vanhan rock'n'roll-biisin hienoutta ihmiselle jota ei voisi vähempää kiinnostaa. etsitään ehkä ikuisesti sitä ystävää, joka lähtee talviyöksi viereen istumaan järven jäälle tähtikaukoputken kanssa. 

mutta en minä sille mitään voi, en myöskään ehkä halua, että paras lauantaiyö minkä olen koskaan viettänyt, oli yksin omalla makkarin lattialla, lp-soittiminen vieressä, kuunnellen kymmeniä kertoja gimme shelteriä. kolmas silmä auki.

heti luettuani että tälläinen kirja on olemassa, ryntäsin kirjastoon hakemaan aarteen lainaan. luin sen yhdessä illassa, vaikka kirja on paksu ja oikeastaan pelkkää asiaa. tämä siirtyi nopeasti ostoslistan kärkeen. 

14. David McCandless - Tieto on kaunista
